The “Today” screen
The app knows what time it is.
A preview of lunch in the morning, the open mensa at noon, dinner in the afternoon, the clubs at night. The home screen always shows what matters right now. Try it:
Preview: When does which mensa open and what's for lunch? Plus notices like the start of exam registration.
Open now: Your mensa with today's dishes and your price. Use “Change mensa” to switch to the Nanoteria or Röntgenbau.
Coming up: Dinner at Mensa Ehrenberg from 16:30, and tonight's events move to the top.
Dinner: What's still being served, and what's on at the clubs afterwards.
Happening now: The event that's on right now, and tomorrow's lunch already.
Deliberately not on the home screen: your Thoska balance and loans. They change without the app knowing and would soon be out of date.

Can't find your question? The pages on the mensa, Thoska, library and events have more answers.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works without signing up. Only for your loans do you sign in with your library account, i.e. the user number and password of the university library.
My phone doesn't have NFC. Can I still use the app?
Yes. Without NFC you just can't read your Thoska. Mensa, library and events work as usual.
Is my library password stored?
No. Your user number and password are only sent to the library and are not stored anywhere, not even in the keychain. That's why you sign in again after restarting the app.
Why doesn't the home screen show my balance?
Because it would soon be wrong: your balance changes every time you pay, without the app knowing. You see the current amount as soon as you read your Thoska in the Thoska section.
Where does the data come from?
Menus and opening hours come from the Studierendenwerk, the catalogue and your loans from the university library in Ilmenau, and events from the clubs and societies. All information without guarantee.
Is the app available in English?
Yes. The app follows your phone's language. You can also change it yourself under “More”.
